Two adults. One leftover. Australia.

After the mortgage, what’s left this pay?
Your partner shouldn’t have to ask.

Both of you should know — not just whoever opened the banking app.

We’re not taking new households yet.

Tesni™ keeps the household books in one place — not a personal tracker with a share button. Connect Australian banks with Open Banking, or drop a statement when you need to. Leftover this pay is Debit, Credit, Result. Transfers don’t dress up as income. You consent at your bank. The books stay with you.

How the books stay honest

Connect my banks

Connect my banks — Open Banking with Australian banks. You consent at your bank — not by typing a password into Tesni. Posted transactions land in the household; CSV and PDF still cover gaps.

Leftover this pay

Leftover this pay — Debit, Credit, Result after the mortgage and daycare hit. Card repayments and transfers stay in the ledger; they don’t fake what’s left. Family view, or just yours.

Ask where it went

Ask where it went — Who covered daycare. Coles vs Woolies. What’s sitting unused in the offset. If a lookup fails, we say it failed.

What you keep close

Built for two adults running a household in AUD — not a kids debit card, not a bank.

Open Banking

Connect my banks. Australian everyday, savings, and cards. Joint accounts don’t double up. Sync when you want, or let the webhook catch up.

Statements & receipts

Drop a CSV, PDF, or photo. AI structures the mess. You review low-confidence rows. Attach an invoice to that payment — never a second debit.

$

Leftover, not shuffles

Result is leftover: true income minus spend. Card repayments and transfers stay in the ledger; they don’t dress up as leftover.

Two adults

Invite a partner with a code. Two seats. Family view or just me. Owner chips on every row.

?

Household chat

Ask Tesni where groceries went this pay. Tables and bars. Threads stay with you. No fake loan balances.

Your books

Family isolation on every query. Delete your uploads.

The books stay with you.

Tesni is a budget on the screen. Underneath, you keep the records.

Connect, or upload

Open Banking consent is with your bank. We never put the bank API key in the browser. CSV, PDF, and photos still work for gaps.

Household only

Every query is scoped to your Tesni. Your partner sees the shared view.

Fail closed

If a parse or a price lookup fails, we say it failed. We do not invent a leftover or a loan figure.

Questions

Is this a bank?

No. Tesni does not hold deposits. Open Banking reads your accounts with your consent. Leftover is calculated from those books.

What does Tesni mean?

Say TES-nee. It’s a Welsh word for warmth. The product is that for the household books: leftover, mortgage, and offset, kept close.

Who is it for?

Two adults in one household. AUD. Australian banks. Not kids’ pocket money.

Where does AI come in?

Grok reads PDF statements and receipt photos, suggests categories, and powers Chat. Known bank CSVs are parsed without AI. If it isn’t sure, you review the row.

Do you store my bank password?

No. You consent at your bank. Tesni stores connection ids and posted transactions — not your internet-banking password.

Can I still upload files?

Yes. CSV and PDF statements and receipt photos remain for unconnected accounts or gaps in sync.
